Our Take on Premium Locksmith Services
Premium Locksmith Services earns its place on reviews: 4.8 from 198 Google reviews, with customers naming Alex for fixing locks rather than replacing them. The Berkeley Street address has real signage, but the website is thin on credentials, brands and staff, so ask for insurance proof and a written quote.

Company Background
About Premium Locksmith Services
Premium Locksmith Services serves downtown Toronto from 137 Berkeley Street, a brick building a few minutes' walk from Moss Park and Corktown, with the company sign out front. It covers homes, condos and small businesses across the old city, and its website lists neighbourhoods from the Distillery District and Regent Park to Leslieville, Liberty Village and Yorkville, plus North York and Scarborough. The company says it has been in business for more than 15 years and promises about a 15 minute arrival, a claim worth confirming when you call.
Listed work includes emergency lockouts, rekeying, lock and deadbolt replacement, smart lock and keypad installation, multipoint lock repair, condo fob duplication, master key systems and access control for offices. Car key and ignition work is on the menu too, though the reviews we read are all about doors. Google shows the business open 24 hours, while the company's homepage lists 8 am to 11 pm, so ask which applies at 2 am.
Customers keep naming one technician, Alex. One reviewer says he repaired whatever could be repaired instead of replacing it and advised against spending more than needed. Another describes him fixing a front door handle in about a minute, and a third says he diagnosed a stubborn multipoint lock and saved them a full replacement. A reviewer stuck in the downtown core says the price came in below other quotes. The rating is 4.8 from 198 Google reviews, read 2026-10-28.
It suits downtown condo owners, landlords and small offices around Corktown and Moss Park who want a quick local call-out and honest repair advice. It suits less well anyone who wants a named lock brand or paperwork on file, since the site lists no manufacturers, trade association memberships or licence numbers. Ontario has no provincial locksmith licence, so before booking ask for the business registration, proof of insurance and a written quote. Also ask about the service-call fee, whether the technician carries ID and arrives in a marked vehicle, whether a lockout will be opened without drilling, and what warranty covers parts and labour. The site mentions workmanship warranties of 30 or 90 days depending on the job.

Premium Locksmith Services FAQs
Is Premium Locksmith Services licensed in Toronto?
Ontario has no provincial locksmith licence, so the useful check is paperwork. Premium Locksmith Services says on its website that its locksmiths are licensed and insured but publishes no policy or registration number. Ask for the business registration, proof of insurance and a written quote before the technician starts, and ask for ID on arrival.
Is Premium Locksmith Services open 24 hours for emergency lockouts?
Google lists Premium Locksmith Services as open 24 hours, seven days a week, and the contact page says the same. The homepage, however, shows 8 am to 11 pm, so confirm by phone at (289) 277-7347 before relying on a late-night call-out. The company promises about a 15 minute arrival in downtown Toronto, which is worth confirming at booking.
What warranty and service area does Premium Locksmith Services offer?
The website says lock changes, installations and repairs carry a workmanship warranty, for example 30 or 90 days depending on the job, and that the team will return to fix anything that fails because of its work. The base is 137 Berkeley Street near Moss Park and Corktown, and the service list covers downtown, Leslieville, Liberty Village, Yorkville, North York and Scarborough. Ask for the warranty terms in writing.
Is Premium Locksmith Services licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Premium Locksmith Services serve?
Toronto. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Premium Locksmith Services offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Workmanship warranty on lock changes, installations and repairs, stated on the website as for example 30 or 90 days depending on the job.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
