Our Take on Solid Solutions Renovations

A northeast Calgary renovator that sells certainty: a stated on-time guarantee, itemized quotes and named leadership. The website says little about licences or insurance, so ask for proof and for the guarantee's remedy in writing.

Within Budget, On Time, Great Quality, Excellent Attention

Solid Solutions provided exceptional service throughout our renovation project. They guided and assisted us during the initial decision-making process, particularly through design consultation, which helped us consolidate our renovation ideas.

Initially, we had an ambitious scope of changing nearly all the kitchen and bathrooms. However, with the assistance of 3D design, we discovered that many furnishings and other details only required updating and retouching. This approach enabled us to save a significant amount of money. Furthermore, the new colour combination, flooring and carpets resulted in an outstanding renovation.

Solid Solutions provided very supportive supervision during the renovation works. Coordination with trades and subcontractors was clear and informed on time. Unforeseen details and problems were resolved promptly and within budget, with the participation of subcontractors.

In summary, Solid Solutions performed an excellent and professional service throughout every phase of the project.

Thank you to Andrew, Curtis, Jacob, Brett, Franco, Toni, Tyson and the subcontractors. Their great job is greatly appreciated.

Company Background

About Solid Solutions Renovations

Solid Solutions Renovations describes its process as one that guides Calgary homeowners from the first meeting to the final walkthrough, and the pitch is built on two promises: an on-time guarantee and a detailed, itemized quote with materials listed and no hidden consulting fees. The company's head office is at 4548 14 Street NE in northeast Calgary, and its logo carries a founding year of 2014.

Services include kitchen renovations with ceiling-height cabinetry and custom pull-outs, bathroom renovations with walk-in showers and stone tile, basement developments for suites, offices and family rooms, complete-home renovations, and commercial renovations for offices, retail and restaurants. The company says it handles the permits and inspections required for each job, and that its subcontractors back their work with a one-year warranty on everything and two years on work behind the wall.

The leadership is named on the website. Andrew Leslie is president, and says he started the company to give homeowners an honest and reliable renovation option. Curtis Billsten is vice president and Brett Ritchie is operations manager. The company also publishes a community initiative page and a careers page, which suggests a staffed operation rather than a one-person shop.

Google shows 4.9 stars from 76 reviews, read October 30, 2026. Google lists hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, with weekends closed.

The website does not publish a licence or insurance number and does not list home additions among its services, so ask for those details directly.

Solid Solutions suits homeowners planning a kitchen, bathroom or basement who want a fixed schedule and a line-by-line price. It suits less well anyone who needs weekend contact or a structural addition.

Before booking, ask for the itemized quote in writing, the permit plan, proof of WCB and liability coverage, and the contractor's City of Calgary business licence, which the City's Licensed Trade Contractor tool can verify. Ask what happens if the on-time guarantee is missed, and get that remedy in the contract.

Solid Solutions Renovations FAQs

  • How do I check that Solid Solutions Renovations is licensed?

The company's website does not publish a licence or insurance number. Search its City of Calgary business licence with the City's Licensed Trade Contractor tool, and ask for WCB clearance and a liability insurance certificate. If a deposit is requested before work is done, confirm a Government of Alberta prepaid contractor licence too.

  • What is the on-time guarantee at Solid Solutions Renovations?

The company says its project managers follow a strict schedule and promise completion on time and within budget. The site does not describe what happens if a date is missed, so ask for the remedy in the written contract before you sign.

  • What warranty and hours does Solid Solutions Renovations have?

Subcontractors give a one-year warranty on all work and a two-year warranty on everything behind the wall, according to the company. Google lists 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, closed weekends. Call (403) 769-1211 or visit 4548 14 Street NE.

  • Is Solid Solutions Renovations licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

  • What areas does Solid Solutions Renovations serve?

Calgary. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Solid Solutions Renovations offer emergency service?

Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Subcontractors give a 1-year warranty on all work and a 2-year warranty on everything behind the wall, as stated by the company. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
