The work crew were awesome. They showed up before 7:30 am and worked right through until after 5:00 pm. They took care to make sure all our personal property was covered and protected. They completed the replacement roofing shingles in on day. They cleaned up my driveway, sidewalks and lawn debris from the roofing shingles etc.As a final touch they ran a large magnet over the driveway, sidewalks and lawn. Great service!

I really appreciated the thorough and honest quotation from A2Z for the removal of my old cedar shakes and replacement with asphalt shingles. They were able to schedule the work quickly and kept me informed when the summer storms impacted the plan. Once work began, they were able to complete the job slightly ahead of their anticipated timeline and the cleanup was very thorough. All of the workers on site were polite and had a wave or smile for my nosy children! We are very happy with the installation and have gotten quite a few compliments on the new roof :)

Company Background

About A2Z Roofing & Renovation | Edmonton

A2Z Roofing & Renovation | Edmonton holds position 1 in Google Maps for roofing searches in the city and carries 448 Google reviews at 4.9 stars, a volume few Edmonton roofers match. The family-owned company works from 9813 33 Ave NW in the Parsons Industrial area of south Edmonton and says it has 15 years in the trade and more than 3000 projects. Its website lists roof installation and replacement, roof repair, 24/7 emergency repair with tarping, and eavestrough, soffit and fascia work. It also quotes for Leduc, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, St. Albert and Stony Plain, which are separate municipalities from its Edmonton address. No founding year, manufacturer certification or neighbourhood list is published.

Reviews give the clearest picture of how jobs run. Customers repeatedly name Ali as the estimator who explained shingle grades, warranty levels and possible surprises before work began, so a change order did not arrive as a shock. Mohammed, the operations manager, is credited with keeping an installation moving, and one homeowner praised Gabreille on shingles and vents and Alex on gutters. Jobs mentioned include stripping old cedar shakes for asphalt shingles, a repair after strong winds, and a full replacement finished just ahead of an incoming storm with the house tarped. The one small complaint: a customer still found the odd bit of debris after a very thorough cleanup. The site says the company is covered by WCB, carries liability insurance, shows a BBB accreditation badge, and does not ask for final payment until you are fully satisfied. Free estimates are offered.

Edmonton roofs deal with hail, heavy snow load and repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and the company's emergency routine of inspecting, tarping and then repairing permanently speaks to storm damage. 4.9 from 448 Google reviews, read October 12, 2026.

It suits homeowners who want an owner-involved quote and several shingle options to compare. It suits less well anyone who needs published warranty or financing terms, because the website states neither. Before booking, ask for the warranty in writing, request the company's Alberta WCB clearance letter and proof of liability insurance, and check the City of Edmonton business licence. Alberta has no provincial roofing trade licence, so those checks matter.
