Editorial Review

Our Take on Canclad Roofing Edmonton

Canclad Roofing Edmonton earns its place on breadth of systems, with shingle, metal and torch-on flat work all backed by consistently warm reviews. We would want the lifetime warranty terms in writing and clarity on how the Calgary and Kelowna arms relate to the Edmonton crew. A 4.9 from 79 reviews is strong, though the sample is smaller than some rivals.

Company Background

About Canclad Roofing Edmonton

Canclad Roofing Edmonton is a roofing contractor on Winterburn Road NW in West Edmonton, and its work covers more of the common roof systems than most single-trade shops. Asphalt shingles are the core of the business, but the company also lists metal roofing, rubber roofing and flat roofs, with repairs on shingle, tile, metal and flat surfaces. One customer described a torch-on flat roof with a slope package, installed by a crew member named Scott, with daily progress updates from Scott, Colan and Brayden. Another, who owns one unit in a four-unit townhouse, praised Paul for building a flashed barrier so the neighbours could re-roof on a different schedule, and said rotted sheeting was repaired without an upcharge.

The company says it only strips what it can re-cover the same day, tarps exposed areas, and schedules jobs around weather so it does not overbook. That matters in a city where hail, heavy snow load and freeze-thaw cycles punish older roofs. It also says it takes no deposits and is paid when the job is finished, and that it works with insurance adjusters on hail and storm claims. It lists free inspections, financing for qualified homeowners and a lifetime installation warranty alongside manufacturer warranties, though it does not publish the written terms on its site. The site gives a typical Edmonton asphalt shingle range of $8,000 to $15,000 in Canadian dollars, with a written estimate after inspection.

Canclad Roofing Edmonton has 4.9 stars from 79 Google reviews, read October 12, 2026. The negatives are modest. Reviewers mention a weather delay on one job and minor scheduling hiccups on another, and one reviewer found the emailed quote in junk mail until Quinten followed up by phone. Be aware that the website describes Calgary and Kelowna operations too, shows a second phone number with a U.S. area code, and lists the postal code differently from Google.

It suits homeowners who want a shingle or flat roof replacement with pay-on-completion terms and a company that communicates by text and phone. It suits less well anyone who wants a named manufacturer certification, since none is published, or a very small local outfit. Before booking, ask for the warranty in writing, the company's Alberta WCB clearance letter and proof of liability insurance, and check the City of Edmonton business licence. Alberta has no provincial roofing trade licence, so those documents carry the weight.

  • Is Canclad Roofing Edmonton licensed and insured?

Canclad Roofing Edmonton says it holds municipal licences for Edmonton, Calgary and Kelowna and that its team is insured and safety certified, but it publishes no licence number. Alberta has no provincial roofing trade licence, so ask for the company's Alberta WCB clearance letter and proof of liability insurance, and check the City of Edmonton business licence before signing.

  • What are Canclad Roofing Edmonton's hours and is it available for emergencies?

Google lists Canclad Roofing Edmonton as open 24 hours Monday to Saturday and closed Sunday. The company lists storm damage and hail repair among its services, but it does not advertise a dedicated 24/7 emergency line, so call (780) 286-7663 and confirm how quickly a crew can tarp or repair a leak.

  • Does Canclad Roofing Edmonton offer a warranty, financing and free estimates?

Yes, the company states a lifetime installation warranty on top of manufacturer warranties, though it does not publish the written terms. It also lists financing for qualified homeowners, free inspections and written estimates, and no deposits before work is done. It serves Edmonton plus Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Leduc, Beaumont, Spruce Grove and Devon.

  • Is Canclad Roofing Edmonton licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 2 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

  • What areas does Canclad Roofing Edmonton serve?

Edmonton. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Canclad Roofing Edmonton offer emergency service?

Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Lifetime installation warranty plus manufacturer warranties, as stated by the company; written terms not published. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
