About Arzet Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.
Armitage Avenue through Logan Square is lined with greystones and two-flats, the kind of homes where the furnace and air conditioner often date back a couple of decades. Arzet Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. has worked from that stretch since the mid-1990s. Its website says the company was founded in 1995 and is family owned and operated, with owner Walter Arzet still closely involved.
Arzet keeps its focus on the basics of residential heating and cooling, including furnace and air conditioner repair, maintenance and replacement, and it installs Nest smart thermostats. The website lists service across Chicago and the nearby suburbs, advertises 24/7 emergency service, and notes that it accepts Venmo and Zelle, a small but handy detail for anyone who prefers paying that way.
The reviews make the case for a smaller, owner-led shop. One longtime customer says they have used Walter and his team for every HVAC need for more than 20 years, and that as a committed comparison shopper they keep finding Arzet's prices better than the competition. Another had no air conditioning and got service within a day, after getting a higher quote elsewhere. A technician named Luis is also mentioned.
The Google profile lists office hours of 8 AM to 4 PM on weekdays, with weekends closed, so emergency calls outside those hours are worth confirming by phone. The website does not publish license numbers, warranty terms or financing options.
Who it suits: homeowners in Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Avondale and nearby neighborhoods who want a straightforward, fairly priced repair or replacement from a family business. Who it suits less well: anyone looking for financing, a formal maintenance club or specialty systems such as high-velocity AC.
Before booking, ask how after-hours emergencies are handled, what warranty comes with the labor, and for a written quote with model numbers so you can compare it easily.
