Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About Hero Air
Hero Air is a family-owned heating and cooling company based on Patterson Avenue in the Portage Park area of the Northwest Side. Its website says the business was founded in 2011 and now brings around 15 years of experience to homes across Chicagoland.
The company handles heating and air conditioning repair, maintenance and installation for homeowners, with an emphasis on quick response. The website advertises same-day appointments and 24/7 emergency service, along with free estimates and financing on new systems.
Hero Air also points to some outside recognition. Its site says it was featured in Entrepreneur's list of America's Favorite Mom and Pop Shops, and that it received Yelp's People Love Us award three years in a row. Those are the company's own claims, but they fit what customers say. On Google, Hero Air holds a perfect 5.0 rating from 367 reviews, and recent reviews are spread across several months rather than bunched together, which is a good sign of steady, organic feedback.
The site does not publish license numbers, warranty terms or specific brand partnerships, so ask about those before any replacement. Hours are not listed on the pages we reviewed beyond the 24/7 emergency line, so confirm availability when you call.
Who it suits: Chicago homeowners who want a smaller, family-run company that can come out the same day, and anyone who values a strong track record on customer service. Who it suits less well: people who want a company with a long published history or specialty systems such as high-velocity AC.
Before booking, ask which equipment brands Hero Air recommends, what the labor warranty covers, and whether there is a charge for the same-day visit.
