Editorial Review
Our Take on Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains
A broad service list backed by a long trading history and a published master licence puts this firm in the more serious tier of the south Austin market. The gap between the hours on Google and the availability advertised on the company's own site is the one loose end, and it is easily closed with a phone call. Read a sample of the 344 reviews before booking anything involving excavation.

About Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains
Plumbing south of the river, in Buda and Kyle and the newer subdivisions pushing out along the I-35 corridor, is a mix of two very different jobs. There is the slab-on-grade housing built in the last twenty years, where the problems tend to be water heaters, pressure regulators, hose bib failures and the occasional slab leak in copper or PEX. Then there is the older stock and the rural properties on septic or long private service lines, where roots, shifting clay and corroded cast iron do the damage. Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains is set up for both, with a service list that runs from faucet swaps up to trenchless sewer replacement and tunnelling under a foundation.
The published service range is unusually wide. On the drainage side there is cabling and hydro jetting, main line clearing, camera inspection, sewer line repair and replacement, root intrusion work, grinder systems and sewage ejector pumps. On the supply side, repiping, burst pipe repair, main water line replacement, and both slab and gas leak detection. Water heaters get their own attention, tank and tankless, electric and gas, with maintenance, repair and replacement all listed alongside expansion tanks. Water softeners and whole-home filtration round it out, which matters in Hays County where hard water shortens the life of heaters and fixtures faster than most homeowners expect.
The company describes itself as family owned and operated since 1980, and it recently rebranded from S & D Plumbing with the same ownership. That history is worth something in a market where new plumbing brands appear every year. The Texas master plumber licence it publishes, M-11671, is the number you would check against the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners before booking, and it is good practice to confirm the licence of the individual who turns up as well as the company holding the master.
Who this suits: homeowners who want one contractor able to diagnose a problem and then carry out the larger fix, rather than a drain specialist who hands off the repair. If a camera inspection finds a collapsed clay lateral under a driveway, having trenchless capability in-house saves a second round of quotes. It suits people who prefer flat-rate, quoted-before-work pricing, which is how the company says it operates, and who would rather see the number in advance than watch an hourly clock. It suits less well anyone chasing the lowest possible price on a simple job, because full-service companies with financing plans, membership clubs and larger overheads rarely win on a single unclogged toilet.
One practical thing to sort out before you call. The Google profile lists hours of 7 AM to 6 PM Tuesday through Friday, with Monday, Saturday and Sunday closed, while the company's own Buda page advertises round-the-clock availability six days a week and lists emergency plumbing among its services. Those two do not match, so ask directly whether after-hours and weekend call-outs are available and what the premium is. Two different phone numbers also appear across the listing and site, another thing to confirm rather than assume.
Good questions to put to any plumber in this area, and to beyond wow plumbing drains in particular: is the quote a fixed price or an estimate that can move once the wall is open, what warranty covers the labour as well as the part, and for sewer work, will you get the camera footage before and after. On repipes, ask whether the price includes drywall repair or leaves that to you, because it frequently does not. For water heater replacement, ask whether the quote includes bringing the installation up to current code with an expansion tank and proper venting, since older Hays County installations often need it. If a slab leak is involved, ask whether the plan is to reroute overhead through the attic or to tunnel, and what each would cost.
Against the alternatives, the field around Austin includes national franchises, a handful of large regional companies and a long tail of one-truck operators. The one-truck plumbers usually beat everyone on price for straightforward repairs. The larger outfits win on scheduling, equipment and the ability to take on excavation. Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains sits in the second group, with a 4.6 rating from 344 reviews on its Google Business Profile as of September 4, 2026, which is a fair volume of feedback and worth reading through for the pattern of the lower scores as well as the higher ones. The active presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn also gives you somewhere else to see recent work and comment history before committing.

Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains FAQs
Where is Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains based and what areas does it cover?
The office is at 1955 FM2001 Ste 220 in Buda, TX 78610. The company's own site says it serves Austin and the surrounding communities, naming Buda, San Marcos, Driftwood and Hays County. If you are north or east of central Austin, ask about coverage and any travel charge when you book.
What are the opening hours?
The Google Business Profile lists 7 AM to 6 PM Tuesday through Friday, with Monday, Saturday and Sunday closed. The company's own Buda page advertises much wider availability and lists emergency plumbing among its services, so the two sources disagree. Call and confirm before relying on after-hours cover.
Is the company licensed?
Its website publishes Texas master plumber licence M-11671. You can check that number against the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners register, and it is reasonable to ask the technician who arrives for their own licence or apprentice registration.
How is beyond wow plumbing drains rated by customers?
It holds 4.6 stars from 344 reviews on its Google Business Profile, read on September 4, 2026. That is a large enough sample to be meaningful. Reading a spread of the recent reviews, including the critical ones, will tell you more than the average alone.
Did this company used to have a different name?
Yes. According to its website it traded as S & D Plumbing and changed to Beyond Wow Plumbing under the same ownership. Older reviews and recommendations under the previous name relate to the same business.
Does it handle sewer line replacement without digging up the yard?
Trenchless sewer and water line replacement is listed among its services, along with tunnel drain replacement for lines running under a foundation. Whether trenchless is possible on a given property depends on pipe condition, depth and access, so a camera inspection normally comes first. Ask to see the footage before and after any work.
What should I ask before agreeing to a water heater replacement?
Ask whether the quote includes code upgrades such as an expansion tank, correct venting and a drain pan, because older installations in the area often need them. Also confirm the labour warranty separately from the manufacturer's tank warranty, and ask about haul-away of the old unit.
Is Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains serve?
Austin. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Beyond Wow Plumbing & Drains offer emergency service?

What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
How was this profile built?
Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.
