About Global Heating and Cooling LLC
Global Heating and Cooling LLC works from Ashland Avenue in West Town, and its website says the company was founded in 2006. Its service area reads like a list of Chicago's older central neighborhoods, including West Town, the West Loop, River West, the Fulton River District, Old Town, the Gold Coast, Lake View, Roscoe Village and Edgewater, with a reach north to Winnetka.
Those neighborhoods are full of two-flats and vintage buildings heated by boilers and radiators, and Global's service list reflects that. It covers boiler repair, radiator installation, furnace maintenance and repair, and snow-melt system repairs, along with heat pump sales, high-velocity systems, air conditioner installation and repair, and ductless mini-splits. It installs Lennox and Bosch equipment and smart thermostats. The website advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service year-round, and owner Kamil is the name customers mention most.
Most reviews are warm. One family has used Global for three years, with Kamil's team sourcing and installing their air conditioner in 2022 and their furnace in 2024. Another, on the top floor of a two-flat with 11-foot ceilings, went looking for a local branded truck during a heat wave and was glad they found Global. There is a sharply negative review too, from a customer whose expensive Bosch heat pump reportedly never worked properly as a heat pump, with complaints about the setup and the owner's communication. It is one review among hundreds, but it is a reminder to check commissioning on any heat pump install.
The Google profile lists Global as open 24 hours. License numbers, warranty terms and financing are not published on the pages we reviewed.
Who it suits: owners of vintage homes and two-flats in central Chicago with boilers, radiators or snow-melt systems, and anyone who values an owner-led company. Who it suits less well: first-time heat pump buyers who want a firm with a published commissioning and warranty process.
Before signing a heat pump job, ask for the load calculation, how the system will be tested at startup, and the written warranty on labor.
