Our Take on Golden Horseshoe Roofing

A small, owner-led roofer that backs a 4.9 rating with detailed written quotes and a final inspection after the job. The website names no staff and the company works across several cities, so confirm who will be on your roof and when. Weather delays were the only complaint in the reviews we read.

Golden Horseshoe Roofing was a pleasure to work with. Their crew was friendly and polite. The product looks great and they put in big days to get the job done quickly. I will be calling them first next time I have a roofing project.

Top-Notch Work, Fair Pricing, and Unmatched Patience! I had a fantastic experience working with Golden Horseshoe on a major exterior and attic project, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our project involved a complete remove-and-dispose of all existing soffits, fascia, eavestroughs, and downpipes, followed by a full installation of new 4-panel heavy-gauge aluminum soffits (including the porch overhang), 6"-8" brake-formed fascia, 5" seamless eavestroughs with hand-mitered corners, and 3" x 3" oversized downpipes—all in a crisp white finish. On top of that, they handled our attic insulation top-up, mold remediation, cut required soffit vents, and added a solar roof vent. While the quality of the craftsmanship speaks for itself, what truly set Golden Horseshoe apart was their exceptional communication and approach: Incredible Patience & Zero Pressure: Our process started back in January when we noticed mold on the attic sheets. Jason visited our home, thoroughly inspected the issue, and clearly explained what was happening and how to fix it. He revisited in April to reassess. We didn't give the authorization to start until July, and throughout those months, Jason was exceptionally patient, understanding, and never once pushy. Outstanding Communication & Support: A big shoutout to Parshin for handling communication once the work started! Parshin was extremely responsive, very quick with replies, and made sure all of our questions and concerns as homeowners were addressed promptly. Fair & Reasonable Pricing: For the extensive scope of work they delivered, their pricing was very reasonable and offered great value. If you are looking for a reliable, honest, and highly skilled team that respects your timeline and treats your home with care, call Golden Horseshoe. Thank you to Jason, Parshin, and the whole crew for a job exceptionally well done!

I found Glden Horseshoe roofing online when looking for a roof repair company and they were great. They came and looked at the issues within a couple of days, provided a written quote within 24 hours of the site visit and then completed the work when agreed. They did a great job on the repair!

We had a Roofing Project completed by Golden Horseshoe Roofing company and they were just Fabulous. Handling the changes through out the project while keeping tight to the budget. With decking boards being replaced and extra membrane placed down for additional sealant for our Solar panels and completing the Project with an absolute smooth finish was just Amazing. Thank You Golden Horseshoe Roofing crew who worked on the roof. Also, Jason and Parshin were always in touch with us and followed up every step of the way. Definitely recommend them. Fantastic Job.

Company Background

About Golden Horseshoe Roofing

Kerry's review of Golden Horseshoe Roofing singles out one detail: once the install was done, the owner came back for a final inspection and checked the property for stray nails and debris. That follow-through shows up across the reviews of this owner-operated roofer, based at 449 Main Street West, Unit 1, in Hamilton.

The company describes itself as a smaller, owner-operated boutique business with more than 20 years of industry experience. It installs asphalt shingle roofs with GAF and CertainTeed shingles, and the site lists extended 50-year GAF System Plus warranties as available. Other work includes metal roofing in standing seam and tough rib profiles, TPO flat roofing for homes and light commercial buildings, roof repair, ventilation, flashing, soffit, fascia and eavestrough, siding, skylights and structural repairs. Past projects include Ancaster and Stoney Creek as well as Burlington, Oakville, Grimsby and the Niagara area. Estimates are free, and financing is offered through Financeit.

Reviewers name Jason, who inspected one roof by drone and spotted exposed wood, and Luis, who patched it within an hour of arriving. Jasmina described the crew as organized and tidy when her shingles were replaced in August 2025, and Shawn said a leaking roof was finished in two days, give or take unworkable weather. Callum's four-star review notes that the follow-up repair slipped about a week because of bad weather, the only mild complaint among the five reviews we read. Callum and Kerry both mention detailed written quotes that included insurance documents and guarantees.

Golden Horseshoe Roofing has 4.9 from 113 Google reviews, read October 13, 2026. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the website says emergency repairs are handled year-round.

It suits homeowners who want a small company where the owner stays involved from estimate to final inspection, and anyone bundling a roof with siding, soffit or eavestrough work. It suits less well anyone who wants a large crew, weekend office hours or named staff profiles, since the website names no team members. Before booking, ask for the WSIB clearance certificate, which can be verified on the WSIB site, and proof of liability insurance. Ontario does not license roofers provincially, so these checks matter. Ask for warranty terms in writing and confirm any manufacturer warranty with GAF or CertainTeed directly.

Golden Horseshoe Roofing FAQs

  • Is Golden Horseshoe Roofing WSIB certified and insured?

Golden Horseshoe Roofing states on its website that it is fully insured and WSIB certified. Customers also report that its written quotes include insurance documents and WSIB compliance. Ontario does not license roofers provincially, so ask for the WSIB clearance certificate, which can be verified on the WSIB site, and proof of liability insurance before work starts.

  • What are Golden Horseshoe Roofing's hours and do they do emergency roof repairs?

Golden Horseshoe Roofing is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Its website says emergency roof repairs are handled year-round, including winter leaks and storm damage. Call 289-998-4653 to ask about timing, since a repair visit can slip when the weather is bad.

Yes, Golden Horseshoe Roofing offers financing through Financeit and gives free estimates. Its website lists GAF Limited, GAF System Plus (extended 50-year) and workmanship warranties as available. Ask for the exact warranty terms in writing and confirm any manufacturer warranty with GAF or CertainTeed directly.

  • Is Golden Horseshoe Roofing licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 3 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

  • What areas does Golden Horseshoe Roofing serve?

Hamilton. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Golden Horseshoe Roofing offer emergency service?

Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Website lists GAF Limited, GAF System Plus (extended 50-year) and workmanship warranties; confirm terms and eligibility in writing.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
