Editorial Review

Our Take on Matt's Roofing Ltd.

Matt's Roofing Ltd. earns its 4.8 on honest quotes and clean one-day installs, with reviewers repeatedly saying the final price matched the estimate. The thin spots are paperwork: the website shows no licence numbers, no named crew and no street address. Ask for the warranty and insurance proof in writing and this is an easy shortlist name.

My roof was done in August, 2026, due to the rain Matt listened to my concerns. He sent two crews and completed my large roof in one and half days. Matt is very professional, pleasant and honest. He addressed all my concerns and even sent his men back to do a quick roof adjustment. His men are very hard working and fast. My roof looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Matt and his crew!

We had Matt’s crew do a quote for us in Parkland County. The quote was just as good or better than the local companies, but the feeling I got from his representative was respectful, professional and knowledgeable. His representative (Phil) was the only person to actually go inside our attic and show us what he was looking at/for and explained the process very well. Matt was extremely responsive to emails and text messages and quick to answer our questions. In the end we went with Matt’s roofing to replace our homes roof and it went amazing! His crew did an amazing job. They were very professional and treated our home with great respect. The crew went above and beyond by adding extra supports to our joists since they recommended it and in the end we weren’t charged for it. You can tell that they really cared about our home as much as we do. They were very good at cleaning up at the end of each day and left our place looking amazing. We highly recommend Matt and his crew - we were one of three neighbors to use Matt’s crew after an hail storm and I see why his crew is so popular!

I needed a roof repair done for some water damage below our skylight. I had seen a Matt's Roofing crew in our neighborhood and called Matt up. Matt was very transparent with quote, and managed to book a crew in for the next weekend. The crew that came out was awesome, could tell they knew what they were doing and had no intentions of cutting corners. Received quality workmanship at the lower end of the price range I was quoted.

We had an amazing experience with Matt's Roofing! From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. The crew showed up early, worked hard all day, and didn’t leave until the job was completely finished. They did a fantastic job on our new shingles and were super clean throughout the entire process. It was clear they took pride in their work and treated our home with care. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great roofing company. Great crew and an all-around excellent experience! Says a lot about their workmanship.... 3 houses in a row - all with Matt's Roofing Signs!!!

Company Background

About Matt's Roofing Ltd.

Matt's Roofing Ltd. has been working on Edmonton roofs since 2014, and its reviews keep returning to one point: the number Matt quotes is the number the homeowner pays. John described a new shingle and VELUX skylight job where the quote was fair and spot on, and Ryan said his final bill matched the estimate exactly, even after the crew found rotten wood and replaced it without surprises. The company works from 6020 189 St NW in west Edmonton and shows project galleries from neighbourhoods such as The Hamptons.

The website describes a Certified Malarkey Roofing Contractor and an Emerald Certified Installer of Malarkey shingles, and it displays an IKO RoofPro logo without further detail. Work includes shingle replacement, roof repair, flat roofing, cedar shake to asphalt conversions, Euroshield rubber tile installs, sun tunnels, eavestroughs, and soffits and fascia. Commercial roofing is also listed. Reviewers praise crews that finish a house and garage in a single day and sweep up afterward, and Phil, who led the installation on John's roof, was called outstanding. Sara said Matt told her she needed new shingles and a few extra vents instead of the full teardown she expected, and her other problems went away. K. had Matt on site within hours for a moisture leak traced to an unvented dryer. Ventilation fixes come up again and again, which counts for something in a city where freeze-thaw cycles and heavy snow punish a poorly vented attic.

Matt's Roofing Ltd. holds 4.8 from 209 Google reviews, read October 12, 2026. It advertises 24/7 emergency service, free no-obligation quotes, a five-year warranty on roofing projects, and financing through FinanceIt. The website lists no licence number, crew size or team beyond Matt, and it gives no street address, so confirm those directly.

This company suits homeowners who want to deal with the person who quotes the job and have roofing, vents and eavestroughs handled by one crew. It suits less well anyone who wants a large firm with a published team page, or metal roofing, which the site does not list. Before booking, ask for the five-year warranty in writing, the company's Alberta WCB clearance letter and proof of liability insurance, and check the City of Edmonton business licence. Alberta has no provincial roofing trade licence, so these checks carry the weight.
