- Zachary Chee1.0If the service is like the way they drive on the streets...stay away. Never seen so much speeding, recklessness and illegal acts. If the company wants to promote that, you've done it. I would not want that level of carelessness in my home.September 2026Google

- Lynn Sayre5.0One slow compliated leak and dedicated staff did the Best Job! Scott, Connor and The Number One plumber Les did a fantastic job. The company was very reasonable in cost and never hesitated to get the job done right! Congratulations to Les on his 17th !!! Year this month with Pete the Plumber! You saved the day!! - Richard Beale5.0Had a smallish job to be done, problem with our toilet cistern valve. Kenneth called before arriving to let us know when to expect him, did the work without delay, and even snaked the bath tub drain when we mentioned in passing that the tub was starting to drain slowly. Not part of our original work order, but certainly much appreciated having both issues dealt with at the same time. Kenneth was very pleasant and personable, and we would welcome him back to do other plumbing jobs anytime. We’ve used Pete the Plumber for many years and this has been true of all the staff we’ve dealt.September 2026Google
- Mark Petersen5.0Our Water heater died, and After making several calls, I contacted Pete the Plumber. They were around $1,200 cheaper, including delivery, installation, and hauling away the old unit. Similar Water tank to the competition, but the warranty was much better. I could see no reason to pay $1,200 more for a unit that has an average lifespan of 8-10 years (The tank warranty through PTP was 12 years, no one else offered that without extended warranties). I booked the appointment, and the Plumber arrived on time. His name was Michael Murphy, and we was awesome 👌 Professional, friendly and efficient. Very nice guy, and he did a great job 👏 I have not used Pete the Plumber before, But I won't hesitate to call them next time I'm in need. Highly recommend. Addition: We recently had a water leak in our basement. Pete the Plumber sent Scott out to assess the problem. Scott was very friendly and professional. He determined where the problem was, and was very efficient in repairing it. Scott was excellent to deal with, and our overall experience was excellent.September 2026Google

About Pete the Plumber
Pete the Plumber is one of the better known names in Calgary plumbing, partly because of its sponsorship of the Calgary Flames and partly because it has been around since 1999. Andrew and Pete started it with a couple of trucks and a single office staff member. Today it works from a shop in southeast Calgary on 112 Avenue SE that includes a fixture showroom, and Google shows 1,655 reviews at a 4.5 average, read September 24, 2026.
The company says it has won a Consumer Choice Award 13 times. Its services go well beyond plumbing repairs and drains to include sewer digs, water softeners, Poly-B replacement, hot water tanks and new construction rough-ins, and on the mechanical side furnaces, air conditioning, duct cleaning and electrical panel work. Service runs 24/7, including Christmas, and estimates are free. Products the company supplies and installs carry a two-year parts and labour warranty.
Many reviews come from people in a bind. Cynthia called after her regular company said it could not come until the next day, and Pete the Plumber was able to come sooner. Micheal described a similar emergency repair. Shawn, Malcolm and Justin were named in a review of an air conditioning install, Jamie was praised for drain work, and Jeremy and Murph handled a Poly-B replacement one customer was happy with. The 4.5 average is the lowest in this ranking, though. One critical review said the installer cut more ceiling holes than agreed while venting a water tank, which is the kind of thing worth settling before work starts.
Pete the Plumber suits a homeowner who wants a large, established company that can handle plumbing, heating and cooling in one call, or someone who likes to see taps, toilets and tubs in person at the showroom before choosing one. Because the company also installs furnaces and air conditioners, a single call can cover a basement plumbing and heating job. Before a bigger job, ask for the scope in writing, including any drywall openings, and ask who handles the City of Calgary permit.
