Editorial Review
Our Take on Service Right, LLC
Twenty five years of experience and a 4.9 average across 141 reviews point to a capable repair focused HVAC company. One review describing a terse, text only pricing exchange is worth weighing against the otherwise strong pattern, and it is a reason to get every quote in writing.

- Sari5.0When my combination boiler unit wasn't working I called Service Right and had a great experience speaking with owner Jolly. He was honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to understand my particular situation rather than simply trying to sell me services. He gave me straightforward feedback, helped me navigate the different options, and pointed me toward the solution that made the most sense for my specific job. Ultimately, with the information that Jolly provided the solution to my problem was a different option that didn’t require Service Right, but I really appreciated that Jolly shared his expertise and give me helpful advice. That stood out and I will be using in the future based on this exchange.September 2026Google
- Prachi Singh5.0Amazing service. Fixed the hvac that the last guy had called done for. He also waited for me since I was not home when he arrived, patiently fixed it, and had great communication.September 2026Google
- Anna Harrington5.0Fantastic experience! I called at 12:30 am and he was there right at 8 in the morning the next morning and fixed my unit within 30 minutes which had a clogged pipe issue. Great experience - highly recommend!!!September 2026Google
- Taras Zommers5.0Had an issue with one of my HVAC units leaking water from various places. Did a search for reasonably close HVAC repair places and picked this one because of the ratings and reviews. I was not disappointed. Jolly came out a few hours later and got me running again. The price was reasonable and stayed with what was originally predicted. I will be calling again later to do my maintenance check.September 2026Google
- Guni Vardhan5.0I called Jolly with Service Right LLC, a couple of weeks ago, after a disastrous experience with a mid-sized HVAC contractor who wanted to replace our entire system (Carrier gas furnace with central AC) for $18K, when we only needed to replace the blower motor. HVAC technicians like Jolly are a truly rare commodity these days. He is straightforward, honest and extremely competent. Really couldn't ask for more! He responded promptly, went out of his way to help secure the blower motor at a very reasonable price and replaced it with utmost professionalism. Couldn't be happier!! Very lucky to have found him!!August 2026Google
- Steve B.1.0I called on a Saturday morning after learning my tenant’s A/C wasn’t working properly. The technician was quick to move the conversation to text where he explained his rates and refused to answer any questions (like when he expected he could come) until I agreed to the service change. After agreeing and asking the question two more times, he responds “before 5pm,” effectively the entire day. I think to myself, no big deal—he’ll let me know when he’s on the way so I can communicate that with the tenant. Flash forward to 3pm when he says he’s on his way. I immediately inform the tenant who advises me he had stepped out but would be back in 5-10 minutes. I informed the HVAC technician immediately but he doesn’t respond. I eventually call him only to receive an attitude on the other line saying he left the moment he realized no one was home. We argued for a bit until finally my tenant called him and pleaded with him to return over an hour later. Once he actually arrived, he charged me 3 hours of labor (over $800 total) for ~15 min of troubleshooting and a deep clean on the condenser… a task that should’ve only taken a pro ~45 min. If you value honesty and good communication, this is NOT the company to call. EDIT: conversation screenshots showing the level of unprofessionalism you can expect.August 2026Google

About Service Right, LLC
Service Right has worked out of Dorchester for more than 25 years, according to the company, and its Google reviews reflect a business built on emergency and repair calls rather than one that only chases new installs. The company covers AC repair, maintenance, installation and replacement; furnace repair and replacement; boiler service across steam, cast iron and combination systems; heat pump repair, design and installation; and water heaters, for both homeowners and light commercial accounts.
A recent five star review from a customer with a leaking HVAC unit describes finding Service Right through a search for nearby repair companies and being satisfied with the result, a pattern that recurs across the company's reviews: fast response, an accurate diagnosis, and a fix rather than a sales pitch for a new system. That matters in Dorchester's mix of triple deckers and single family homes, where an aging boiler or a leaking condensate line is a common call.
Not every review is glowing. One customer describes a Saturday morning call about a tenant's failed AC where the technician shifted the conversation to text messages, quoted a rate, and declined to answer further questions before the visit. It is the kind of exchange worth watching for, particularly on weekend or after hours calls when dispatch may be handling several jobs at once. Ask for the total estimate, including any weekend surcharge, in writing before a technician arrives.
At 4.9 stars from 141 Google reviews, read September 20, 2026, and with recognition as a Best of 2026 pick from BusinessRate, Service Right's track record is solid. The company does not publish a license number, insurance details or a founding year on its own site, so those are fair questions to ask directly, especially for a boiler or heat pump installation that requires a permit and inspection.
This company is a good fit for Dorchester and Greater Boston residents who want a 24/7 number for a furnace or boiler emergency, or a straightforward AC repair. It suits Massachusetts homeowners less well if what they want is a fully documented license number and insurance certificate posted online before they ever call, since the company keeps that information off its site. Confirm the license, ask about weekend rates up front, and get any quote in writing.
