About South West Plumbing, Heating, Air, & Electric
South West Plumbing, Heating, Air, & Electric was started in 1982 by Bill and Connie Buckingham, who ran it from their home with a single truck. The main office is now on Detroit Avenue SW in West Seattle, with a second location in Marysville, and the company has 11,445 Google reviews at a 4.8 average as of September 23, 2026. That is several times the review count of anyone else on this list.
Like Beacon and Eco, South West is a multi-trade company, and plumbing is a large part of its work. Most of the recent reviews we read were for water heaters, toilets, repiping and sewer lines. The company also employs HVAC technicians and electricians, and its site covers furnace, air conditioning and heating work, plus EV chargers, generators and panel upgrades. Its Google listing covers HVAC contracting, heating, furnace repair and air conditioning repair.
South West says it is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and that it works evenings and weekends at no extra charge. It publishes Washington contractor license SOUTHWP807OJ, belongs to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association and the Nexstar Network, and offers financing and a membership program called Bill's Comfort Club. Reviewers name Guy, Justin, Isaac, Antonio, Scott and Kirk for clean, careful work and clear explanations. One reviewer said rates came in lower than other estimates, while another said the price on a two-week sewer replacement was a shock, even though the crew worked long days and did the job well.
Because the reviews lean so heavily toward plumbing, we have less direct evidence on South West's heating and cooling installs than on the HVAC specialists above it. What the reviews do show is a large, well-run service operation that answers quickly and keeps customers informed about timing.
South West fits homeowners in West Seattle, Delridge, White Center and Burien who want a nearby company that can handle a furnace, water heater or electrical problem at any hour without an after-hours charge. For a new heat pump, get a quote from South West and from one of the heat pump specialists on this list, and ask who will do the design and install.
