Recent Google Reviews

  • Alain Bedrosian5.0I have had a very positive experience with Evegreen. Kody is both very professional and personable. He is invested, friendly ,communicate well listens well and is knowledgeable. Just good service .September 2026Google
  • Michael VonKorff5.0I have had heat pumps installed in 3 different houses. The Seattle installation was by far the most complex, involving both a central heat exchanger for ducted heating/cooling and 3 mini splits serving areas not handled by ducts. Evergreen has been great to work with throughout. There was a materials problem with some of the coolant tubes originally installed that did not become apparent until months after install. They persisted in working the problem until it was fixed. They know what they are doing and they don't disappear if there is a problem. Given the rapid growth in HVAC installation, not all companies have the knowledge, experience and stability of Evergreen. I am very glad we decided to work with them. Their ongoing maintenance contract seems like a good deal too.September 2026Google
  • M Albrizio5.0Will notified us of his arrival time, was prompt, courteous and explained every step of the way.September 2026Google
  • Ian Johnson1.0In short: spent $29k for a whole install only for them to install the noisy part (the branch box) of the system right behind the primary bedroom, then had to chase them for six months through phone calls, visits, and ghosted emails for the generous opportunity to spend an additional $5k for them to move it I hope to never call them for anything again, there are so many hvac companies in Seattle call literally anyone else Side note, the techs were generally great and shout out to Don for trying to make it right and talking through placement options etc with meAugust 2026Google
  • Sharon Schultz5.0Our HVAC system's electronic air cleaner stopped working properly and service tech Erin came to check it out. He did diagnostics, identified the problem, and offered different ways to get the electronic air cleaner up and running again. He was very professional, clear on pricing, and answered all my questions. Overall great experience!August 2026Google
  • Chuna Bana5.0Professional and cordial service with lots of patient explanations! The technician Gerardo cleaned up the heat pump and furnace nicely and walked me through some elements of their shared operation. He also leveled the concrete pad of the heat pump and pointed out a couple potential upgrades on the furnace and pump, which we scheduled for later this year. All in all a positive experience.August 2026Google

About Evergreen Home Heating and Energy

Evergreen Home Heating and Energy has served Seattle homeowners since 1975 and is still family-owned and locally run. The shop sits on South Kenyon Street in Georgetown, a short drive from most of the city, and the company holds 1,008 Google reviews at a 4.8 average as of September 23, 2026. Only Brennan has more reviews among the companies here that work mainly on heating and cooling.

Much of Evergreen's work today is heat pumps. It is an authorized Mitsubishi Electric dealer and installer, and its site explains the Seattle City Light Clean Heat rebate for homes moving off oil heat, along with Energy Smart Eastside rebates for customers across the lake. It also repairs and replaces gas furnaces, central air, ductless systems, water heaters and thermostats, and it runs natural gas piping and electrical work in-house. The Google listing shows air duct cleaning as well.

Reviewers name technicians often. Tim is praised for returning on his day off with a part in early July, and another customer called his walkthrough of a four-unit system the tutorial they never got at install. John gets credit for explaining furnace options honestly and steering a customer toward the lower-cost choice, and Aaron and Erin are named for quick, accurate diagnosis. Victoria in scheduling and Brandon, the service manager, come up in longer-term customer reviews. The negative reviews are about price. Two recent one-star reviewers felt quotes for replacement or a thermostat were far higher than they expected, and one said a callback from the service manager did not come.

The company lists a free estimate on new systems, 24/7 service, 18 months of special financing with no minimum purchase on approved credit, and a Home Comfort Club with priority scheduling and two tune-ups a year. Its contractor license number, EVERGHH910JO, is printed on the site and can be checked on the Washington L&I contractor lookup.

Evergreen fits homeowners in older Seattle houses who want to retire an oil tank or aging furnace and would like one company to handle the heat pump, the electrical and the rebate paperwork. It is a weaker fit for someone who only wants the cheapest repair. Before signing, ask for a written, itemized quote and a second option if a repair is possible instead of replacement.
