Editorial Review

Our Take on Zero Heating Ac & Refrigeration

Zero Heating's own framing gets at exactly why homeowners searching for AC repair in San Antonio heat find it fast: a broken unit is treated as the emergency it is, not a routine service ticket. Being 100 percent focused on residential work rather than splitting attention with commercial accounts is a meaningful differentiator on a list where several competitors run mixed books of business.

  • Jose Rivera2.0I had Zero Heating and AC come out for a simple tune-up since my unit is only four years old, so I didn't think much of it. The guy checked and cleaned everything and said it all looked great. I don't get why a few days later I have a leak in the PVC pipe. Maybe he just didn't catch it, but I never had a leak before. I guess the moral of the story is don't fix what's not broken. Mind you i do change my filters every 3 monthsSeptember 2026Google
  • Edward C5.0Called and got an appointment Trish called me back and said they had an earlier time open up if i wanted to be seen sooner. Came out in the morning and had all new system installed same day. Tonight me and my wife will be sleeping comfortably! I guess u can say I went from ZERO TO HERO! Very fast Very professional and very respectable! From setting my appointment to getting financed and having everything installed i couldn't have been more impressed with yalls help. Definitely recommend over and over again! Thank yall !!!September 2026Google
  • Zoom Turtle5.0Nathan and Andy are very professional & will explain your problem immediately. They installed 120V automatic condensate removal pump to resolve this issue. When water enters my float switch (also known as an overflow or safety switch), it means your primary gravity drain line is either completely clogged, incorrectly sloped, or the system lacks the proper gravity fall to push the water out of the house. I have always had this problem since my last ac unit & although water does drain , but on Hot peak temperatures the unit would blow Hot air because not enough water was draining. Finally made the decision to end this problem stop calling ac person twice every summer. They r the best !! Excellent customer service!September 2026Google
  • Herman Ayala5.0Andy was amazingly knowledgeable. He knows the business. Andy was not only punctual he was early. Love it! I will most definitely call you again.September 2026Google
  • Celeste Hernandez5.0My experience with Zero Heating AC & refrigeration was amazing. Our HVAC gave out at the end of the day and they picked up the phone fast and had someone on their way that same night. Orlando, Nathan, and Anthony were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Nathan guided us through the process they underwent to install a new system, & answered any questions we had at completion of service. Definitely recommend Zero for any of your HVAC needs.September 2026Google

About Zero Heating Ac & Refrigeration

Zero Heating AC & Refrigeration operates out of Park Plaza on San Antonio's west side as a local specialist that is, in the company's own words, 100 percent dedicated to residential HVAC. That singular focus separates it from several competitors on this list who split their attention between residential and commercial accounts.

The company's technicians bring more than 30 years of combined experience to preventive maintenance checkups, service on existing equipment, and installation of new systems. Zero Heating frames its mission plainly: a broken AC in the San Antonio heat is not a minor inconvenience but a genuine emergency, and the company's expert AC repair, heater maintenance and complete system replacement services are built around responding to that urgency.

Zero Heating's service area extends throughout Bexar County, reaching homeowners in Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, Helotes, Boerne and New Braunfels in addition to San Antonio proper, which is useful context for anyone near the edges of the metro comparing response times. The company offers a maintenance agreement program and financing applications for larger repairs or replacements, along with honest, upfront pricing on every job.

What is less clear from the company's public materials is a specific founding year, a published Texas contractor license number, or a defined warranty term for new installations. A homeowner should ask Zero Heating directly for its Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation license number and confirm it independently before approving a major repair or system replacement.

Anyone hiring Zero Heating, or any HVAC contractor in San Antonio, should verify the technician's license number with the state and get exact warranty terms in writing before signing.
