Our Take on Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing
Eighty-plus years in the same city is not a small thing, and Goettl backs up that history with a pricing guarantee that removes the guesswork homeowners usually dread with HVAC work. Between the free estimates, the no-trip-fee policy and the sheer number of AZ Foothills awards, Goettl earns its place near the top of this list on substance rather than marketing.

About Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing
Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing traces its Phoenix roots back to February 14, 1939, when its Baseline Road location first opened, and the company has grown into one of the largest HVAC operations in the Valley with more than 100 employees. General Manager Tony Ybarra oversees a team that holds three separate Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses: ROC282081 for air conditioning, ROC282082 for plumbing, and ROC330972 for residential insulation.
The reviews back up the company's scale. One reviewer described technicians Tom and Andre replacing an entire AC unit in a single day despite 109-degree heat, working from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and cleaning up thoroughly afterward. Another credited technician Nick with coming out late at night when the AC failed and working out a fair deal on a replacement unit rather than pushing the most expensive option.
Goettl is BBB A+ accredited and has been named AZ Foothills Magazine's Best HVAC Company five times since 2016, along with Best Plumbing Company honors in 2016 and 2017. The company also won the ACCA Humanitarian Award in 2016 and the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Impact Award the same year.
What sets Goettl apart on pricing is its Right Way Guarantee: the price quoted before a job starts is the price charged at the end, with no trip fees, no service fees and no surprise line items. Estimates are always free, and financing runs through GoodLeap for homeowners who want to spread out the cost of a new system. Service is available 24 hours a day, and same-day appointments are common even during the peak of a Phoenix summer.
One thing to watch for with a company this size: individual technician quality can vary more than at a smaller shop, so it is worth reading recent reviews for the specific type of job being done, whether that is a straightforward repair or a full system replacement, before scheduling.
