About Hermes Plumbing & Heating Service Ltd
Hermes Plumbing & Heating Service holds a perfect 5.0 on Google across 235 reviews, read September 24, 2026. It is a locally owned family business based at 12532 72 Street NW in northeast Edmonton, and the website says the team has more than 20 years of experience in residential service plumbing and heating.
The service list covers plumbing repairs and installations, drain cleaning, hot water tanks and tankless systems, Poly-B replacement, leak detection, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, bathroom renovations and commercial tenant improvements. The heating side includes furnaces and boilers, air conditioning, gas lines and in-floor heating. Hermes offers 24/7 emergency plumbing across Edmonton, Google lists it as open 24 hours, and estimates are free. The company says it runs criminal background checks on anyone who enters a customer's home on its behalf. It does not publish warranty terms, financing or licence numbers.
The reviews are consistent about honesty and price. Richard called on a Wednesday, had an estimate Thursday and a new hot water tank on Friday, and said the plumber told him a tankless system would be overkill for his needs. Heather said the Hermes quote was the cheapest of three, praised Mindy in the office for quick answers and said plumber Sarah was efficient and capable. Mandy also named Sarah, who fixed the main problem and troubleshot a few others. Tom had Hermes replace all the Poly-B in his house during a renovation and called the work meticulous.
Hermes suits a north or central Edmonton homeowner who wants a small family company, fair quotes and straight advice, especially for water heaters or Poly-B during a renovation. It suits less well someone who wants financing or a large crew for a quick whole-house job. Ask what warranty comes with the work, confirm the plumber's journeyperson certificate, and check who pulls the City of Edmonton permit.
