  • dawit kidane2.0Super Cool installed a new AC unit and thermostat at my house. They told me that I would receive a $175 rebate from Piedmont Natural Gas and a $325 rebate from Duke Energy. I received the $175 rebate from Piedmont Natural Gas. However, I only received $200 from Duke Energy. When I contacted Duke Energy to ask why I received only $200, they explained that Super Cool had submitted the rebate only for the AC unit and not for the thermostat. I explained to Duke Energy that a new thermostat had also been installed. They then asked me for the brand and model number of the thermostat. Unfortunately, I found out that the thermostat installed by Super Cool did not qualify for the rebate. I contacted Super Cool about the situation, and they told me they would speak with their manager and get back to me. Unfortunately, despite calling and emailing them repeatedly for several weeks, I never received a response. Long story short, my experience has been very disappointing. Super Cool was very nice and helpful before getting paid, but once they received their money, they stopped responding to my calls and emails. Based on my experience, I would not consider Super Cool trustworthy or recommend them to others. If a company promises rebates as part of its service, I believe it should make sure the equipment qualifies and submits the paperwork correctly or at least help resolve the issue when a problem arises.September 2026Google

Our system went down right in the middle of a heat wave, and they came out right away. They got a brand-new heat pump system installed quickly, professionally, and at a very fair and reasonable price. While they were working, they pointed out that our existing ductwork was very old, undersized, and likely causing airflow restrictions and inefficiency. What I really appreciated was that there was zero pressure, they simply gave us honest, transparent information and let us decide what to do on our own timeline. A couple of months later, we reached out to get the ductwork replaced, and they took fantastic care of us once again. From the front office staff to the estimators and installation crew, every single person was prompt, professional, and proactive with communication. I had a lot of questions throughout both projects, and they patiently and thoroughly answered every one of them. If you need heat pump or ductwork done, don’t hesitate to call Super Cool HVAC.
