We are so happy with our new kitchen and bathroom from Zzone Homes. They were lovely to work with and genuinely cared about all of the little details that made the end product so special for our family. Thank you to Marco, Sonya, Tony, Mitch, Liam, Dan, Alex, John and the rest of the team!

We contacted Marco when we were considering downsizing and renovating my mother's house. Our first meeting with him confirmed that we had the right person for the job. Although we knew what we wanted, Marco proposed other options that totally made sense for functionality and for costs. His price was fair and the timeline for the work to be completed was better than we expected. My husband was not sold on the location of the house, so the decision was made to not renovate but to list it. Although we did not proceed with the renovation, we would definitely call on ZZone Homes for any future requirements. Thank you Marco!!

Our family has now worked with Marco and the Zzone Homes team on two separate renovation projects, and both experiences were outstanding.

The first project was converting our basement into a fully finished basement apartment, and the results were amazing. Marco and his crew were incredibly organized, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out, and the process was smooth from start to finish.

About two years later, we hired Zzone Homes again to renovate the main floor of the house, and they delivered the same five-star experience. One thing we really appreciate about working with Marco is how much of the work is handled in-house, from planning and design to cabinetry and finishing. It makes a huge difference when a company takes that much pride in every part of the project.

The entire team was respectful, hardworking, and easy to have around the house. After two projects together, the crew honestly feels like part of the family.

If you're looking for a reliable renovation contractor who truly cares about quality, I highly recommend Zzone Homes. We’re already planning our next project with them — an ensuite bathroom renovation.

Thanks again Marco and the whole Zzone team!

— Calvin

Company Background

About Zzone Homes Inc.

Zzone Homes Inc. has been in the renovation business since 2005, according to its logo and site, which makes it one of the longest-running firms on this list. The company works from Unit 9 at 390 Dewitt Road in Stoney Creek, where a banner and door signage mark the shop, and it is led by Marco Manazzone. The site describes more than two decades of experience and a good working knowledge of Hamilton's older housing stock and building codes.

Services include full-home renovations, kitchens, bathrooms and basements, custom cabinetry, home additions, design and permits, and general contracting. It also takes projects in Burlington. The site says work that needs licensed trades is coordinated through appropriately licensed trade professionals, which is the right way to handle plumbing and electrical on a renovation.

The credentials on its site are unusually specific: Better Business Bureau accreditation with an A+ rating, National Kitchen and Bath Association membership, Best of Houzz Service awards for 2018 to 2020, a verified HomeStars profile, a TrustedPros listing and Baeumler Approved listed-contractor status since 2019. Google shows 5.0 stars from 78 reviews, read October 30, 2026. Photos show a white kitchen with a large island, an open-plan main floor, a finished basement and an older cherry-cabinet kitchen.

Points to weigh: the site does not publish a licence number, WSIB details or insurance limits, so ask for them. The unit sits in a light-industrial strip, so it is an office and shop rather than a showroom, and weekday hours start early at 7:30 a.m.

Zzone suits homeowners in Stoney Creek, the east Mountain and lower city who want a long-established design-build firm for a kitchen or basement. It suits less well anyone chasing the lowest price on a single-trade job.

Before booking, ask for a written quote, the liability insurance certificate and WSIB clearance certificate, who applies for the City of Hamilton building permit, and the labour warranty. Ontario has no general provincial licence for renovation contractors, so documents are your check.
