- sith lord1.0Completely disappointed with my service. Requested leak detection I already knew i had a leak i just wanted to know where. Axel Sorenson comes to my home says going to search for leak inside and outside. Goes to my water meter and "eyeballs" where he thinks my water line goes. He digs one hole and says leak is more than likely inside. Thats when the salesman came out started telling me prices for replacing all water lines in my home. Goes inside and says i don't have the equipment to check inside home for the leak. I was like what? Says its going to be $1400 to come tomorrow and find leak inside my home. But for today im billing you almost $300.Why not be upfront with your customers. Why didn't he say I can charge you almost $300 to dig one hole and search only outside and guess where the water line is or i can come tomorrow with adequate equipment and check inside and out for 1400. Me being desperate to find the leak i agreed for them to come search inside the next day. He arrives and starts going over instructions for 15-20 min i am certain he didn't even know how to use the equipment. He searched inside and out and says "I think you have two leaks" one in the bathroom or maybe in the kitchen area and where the water line enters home. I ask him where does the water line enter my home ? His answer " I don't know could be near bathroom, kitchen ,water heater. How can you say leak is where water line enters my home but you don't where it enters my home. So he says only option replace everything for 25k-30k. He was already sending me finance links and I ask him can you maybe I dont know fix the leaks only and he was like oh yeah we can, for around 8k (very disappointed).Plumbing is expensive why not think about the customers rather than landing a big contract job. I'm out around $1700 and with zero results could not pin point leaks and not only that he lied on invoice he never located water line never marked it off (he didn't have any paint also cant mark anything off if you dont know where water line is) couldn't find where water line entered my home and couldn't pin point leaks. Left my utility lids open tracked mud in my home I felt so disrespected. One thing you dont want to hear from a plumber are " I dont know " "maybe" "kinda" " i think" Also I've been trying to call the service manager with no one able to call me back for days now. So disappointed I thought this company was better than this but no they are just out to take people's hard earned money .September 2026Google
- Chris Norton (SPC Norton)5.0We had a great experience with Marcos and Jordan, who came out and replaced our entire HVAC system. They were professional, friendly, and did an excellent job from start to finish. We have two dogs, so we had to keep them secured while the work was being done. Marcos and Jordan were very patient and understanding whenever I needed to take a few minutes to let the dogs out and give them some attention. That small gesture really meant a lot to us. The new HVAC system is working perfectly, and they also took the time to help us set up the phone app so we can monitor and control the system even when we’re away from home. They made sure we understood how everything worked before they left. We’re extremely happy with our new HVAC system and really appreciate the work Marcos and Jordan put into getting everything installed properly. Great guys, great service, and a job well done. Highly recommend them!September 2026Google
- Cindy Brown5.0Jeremy O. was extremely helpful in giving me information on my unit's age, condition and repair options. We have mapped out a plan, and I wiil definitely get everything he suggested repaired, plus add Geottl's maintenance program. I feel confident that I'm in good hands! Cindy B.September 2026Google

About Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing
Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing traces its Texas roots back to 1939, and the San Antonio location on Fortune Drive carries that history into one of the most reviewed HVAC companies in the city, with more than 11,000 Google reviews backing a 4.8 star average.
The company's core promise is pricing transparency: most companies charge just to show up, but at Goettl the visit, diagnosis and written estimate are always free, with no trip fees, no service fees and no surprise line items once the job is underway. Same-day service is standard, and the company runs current San Antonio promotions that include a $100 sign-up bonus for its Smart Sadie home maintenance program, a $499 duct cleaning special, and a $299 mini-jet drain clearing service for accessible, ground-level clogs.
Goettl handles the full range of residential HVAC and plumbing work, from AC repair and installation to furnace service and duct cleaning, and its plumbing division covers drain clearing and related work for homeowners who want to combine service calls. The company's national scale means it can move quickly on same-day repairs even during peak summer demand, when a broken AC unit in South Texas heat is more than an inconvenience.
What is less clear from the San Antonio location page is a specific Texas contractor license number; the site describes the company as licensed without listing the exact figure a homeowner would need to verify with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. It is worth asking the technician for that number directly before any work begins, along with the specific parts and labor warranty terms on a new installation, since those are not spelled out in detail on the location page either.
Anyone hiring Goettl, or any HVAC contractor in San Antonio, should confirm the technician's Texas HVAC contractor license number matches state records before signing a contract, and should get exact warranty terms in writing for any new equipment installed.
