Recent Google Reviews
- Robin Howe5.0Mike and his team were very professional and quick to respond. Two qualities that I appreciate. We found that after getting 3 quotes, Method Air was the best in price and working within our timeframe. We're very happy with the system they installed and it was configured for our 1920 home. The system is quiet and works really well. Chris went over everything with me and allowed me to take videos while he did so as it's a lot of info to remember! The install took 2.5 days - which seemed quick considering the hardware, sheet metal work, electrical work, etc.. that was needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for heat pump services.July 2026Google

About Method Air
Method Air is a heat pump company based on Montreal Street in James Bay. It has 80 Google reviews at a 4.9 average as of September 24, 2026, tied for the highest rating among the companies on this list, though its review count is smaller than most.
The company does one thing: it designs and installs high-efficiency heat pump systems for homes in Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Langford and across southern Vancouver Island, and it services them afterward. Its website stresses consistent temperatures, quiet operation and systems sized to last, and it says it stays current on provincial and utility rebates and can help customers work out what applies to them. Financing is available. It describes its team as licensed and insured Red Seal refrigeration technicians, and it displays Heat Pump Contractor Network membership. It does not print a licence number online.
Nearly every review names Mike, whom one reviewer describes as the local business owner. One household replaced an oil furnace with a ducted heat pump and said Method's quote was competitive and came with clear explanations of how the job would go. Another said Mike's team added ductwork to get the airflow right. A townhouse owner said Mike found a place to put a unit when they were not sure the layout allowed one. Several reviewers mention help understanding their rebate options, and one said Mike got their heat pump running again quickly after it shut down mid-winter.
Method Air is a small operation, and it does not advertise 24/7 emergency service or gas furnace repair. Book early in busy seasons.
Method Air suits Victoria homeowners, especially in older houses and townhouses, who want a carefully designed heat pump and a hands-on owner who explains the options and rebates. Ask for the equipment model numbers and warranty terms with your quote.
