Our Take on Uptown Air Conditioning
Uptown's 4.9 rating is built on honest service, including a family who turned to it for a second opinion after being quoted $8,500 for a part. It is a smart call before you agree to a big repair, and for businesses with refrigeration needs.

About Uptown Air Conditioning
Uptown Air Conditioning works from Rock Bay Avenue, in the light industrial area just north of downtown Victoria, and serves southern Vancouver Island from Victoria to Nanaimo. It has 76 Google reviews at a 4.9 average as of September 24, 2026, tied for the top rating on this list, from a smaller review base than most.
Uptown splits its work between homes and businesses. For homeowners it installs, services and repairs heat pumps, gas furnaces and air conditioning, and it runs maintenance programs. For businesses it handles commercial HVAC, refrigeration, commercial kitchens and ice machines, and one reviewer mentioned a crew doing a refit at a local brewery. It says it is licensed and insured with Red Seal mechanics, and it offers 24/7 emergency service and free estimates. Its site walks through BC Hydro, FortisBC and CRD oil-to-heat-pump rebates, manufacturer rebates and heat pump financing. It does not print a licence number online.
The standout review is about a second opinion. A family said the company that installed their heat pump told them a part costing $8,500 needed replacing on a unit less than five years old. On a relative's advice they called Kristen at Uptown for a second opinion, and the family says they are very happy with the service they got. Other reviewers call Uptown their go-to company for annual furnace and heat pump maintenance, and name Patrick for fixing a mistake another company made and Ethan for an early, thorough AC check.
Office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. Uptown suits Victoria homeowners who want an honest second opinion on a big repair quote, and businesses that need refrigeration and kitchen equipment serviced by the same company that looks after their HVAC.

Victoria. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
